The cross of Christ is the foundation of the Christian’s life. Every major Bible doctrine, every aspect of God’s nature, every blessing from God’s hand as well as my personal salvation is found in the study of the Cross.

Are you struggling with your motivation and purpose in serving God? Go back and study the Cross of Christ. In the Cross you will discover some hard truths about your life but also you will find a life transforming love that will never lack in power to move and mold you. The apostle Paul wrote: "But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world" Galatians 6:14 (NKJV). Would you like these words to be yours?

The material for this study is found in five lessons titles as follows:

While a reading and studying of this material alone is profitable, this material is designed to be taught in a small group setting. There are many points that will be made by the teacher and be brought out in discussion which would never be revealed with the written material alone. For instance in Lesson 1 I personally ask the question and have a discussion about: “Why was it absolutely necessary for Jesus Christ to die on a Roman Cross?” This question is not asked in the printed material!

If you desire to use this material in a small group study please contact me for additional outlines concerning “How to teach a home study.” This outline uses the Cross studies to show the most effective way of using this material. I also could provide an audio file of this training class.

There will be several small study groups you could be a part of in the Charlottesville area.
